Indianapolis is located east of the White River in central Indiana. The city is served by the Indianapolis International Airport, located seven miles southwest of downtown Indianapolis. Serving 18 airlines, it offers more than 175 departures to 76 different destinations every day.
Driving is really the best way to get around. The major highways are I-69, I-70, I-74, I-65 and I-465.

The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation is handling the bus rides in the city. There is the Blue Line, free of charge - it takes passengers from the Convention Center to the City Market with many stops along the way. The Blue Line is available from 10 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week. The Red Line runs on several fixed routes. A one-way ticket fare is $1.25.
